1992
- Sarawak Flour Mill was registered in relevant authorities and trade licence was obtained.
Sarawak Flour Mill (SFM) was founded in 1992 by Gold Coin Group. It was the second flour mill to set up in Kuching, Sarawak after SFFM in Labuan, Sabah. The setting up of SFM was mainly to cater for Sarawak market. It was part of the group’s strategy to expand further and made their presence felt in flour milling industry. The group existing business consisted of feed mills and pharmaceutical products. Flour mill business was next on the list to be added to diversify the business segments. In 2005, Gold Coin Group disposed of entire wheat flour business to CBH Group, Australia.
1993
- Sarawak Flour Mill was under construction.
1996
- Sarawak Chief Minister, Tun Pehin Sri Haji Abdul Taib Mahmud officially declared opening of Sarawak Flour Mill.
- Nestle was the first customer to break the ice with the commissioning of the production line.
2004
- Investment in PFM with current shareholding 26.9%.
- Installation of 1kg packing line with the launching of consumer ready pack flour in the market.
2005
- Official opening of new office building by CEO, Greg Harvey, and Director, Robin Lo.
2008
- Obtained HACCP & Halal certification.
2011
- Obtained SNI certification.
2012
- Installation of second line 1kg packing machine to meet market demand.
2013
- Upgraded to ISO 22000 certification and obtained Mesti certification.
2015
- Completion of 2 additional units of silo with wheat storage capacity increased from 22,400Mt to 28,000Mt.
2020
- Installation of third line 1kg packing machine to cope with the rising trend of consumer pack flour.
2021
- Upgraded to FSSC 22000 certification.
